Starr Simpson
Owner and Principal Designer
Starr approaches her work with deep respect for how homes shape daily life. She listens first, then makes decisions with care, discernment, and intention.
She founded Live&Gather Co. in 2020 to offer a steadier, more thoughtful approach to residential design. Her work centers on clear direction, careful planning, and consistent follow-through at every stage of a project.
Before shifting to interior design full-time, Starr spent years in senior project management and operations across both private and public sectors. She led teams of project managers and oversaw large-scale infrastructure projects. Starr is also a PMP-certified project manager and a Certified Residential Interior Designer, bringing structure and strategic thinking to every home she designs.
Her leadership keeps creative vision and project oversight closely aligned. She guides each home with attention to detail and long-term use.
David Simpson
Business Operations Manager
David brings steadiness to the work at Live&Gather Co. He is often the first voice clients hear, guiding early conversations with a clear understanding of what it takes to carry a project well.
His experience spans operations and sales at Fortune 500 companies, along with years as a licensed realtor and investor. Outside of Live&Gather Co., he founded Live&Gather Homes, where he supports out-of-state and Georgia buyers relocating to the Atlanta area.
David is also a woodworker. Patience, precision, and attention to detail shape how he approaches his work and influence the systems that keep projects organized, consistent, and well managed throughout.
Kara Livingston
Junior Designer
Kara supports our projects from start to finish, from in-home consultations, design development, and site visits, to installations and final styling. She stays closely connected to the work as it unfolds on-site, ensuring the design intent is defined and executed every step of the way.
Her background in architecture and customer service informs a steady, attentive presence in the field. She carries through design decisions with awareness of both structure and experience, keeping projects organized and clients supported.
Kara’s hands-on involvement helps bring each space together during the final stages, with keen attention to detail.
Jules Liberatore
Executive Assistant
Jules keeps the operations side of Live&Gather Co. running smoothly. She organizes schedules, handles details, and gives our design team structure to focus on creative work.
Jules's background is in executive support, where organization and clear communication matter most. Working behind the scenes, Jules makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Known for staying calm under pressure and keeping systems consistent, Jules creates space for the creative side of the business to move forward without interruption.
Sharren Morisca
Design Assistant
Sharren works on the Design Team, supporting design projects from early planning through final selections.
Her focus centers on presentation preparation, sourcing, and procurement. She brings together materials, furnishings, and finishes with a refined eye for proportion and balance. Every decision stays grounded in how every element works within the space as a whole.
